Handel C.H. LEE

Co-Chairman Three on the Bund, House of Three

Co-Chairman of House of Three Ltd., the development company behind the
exciting new "Three on the Bund" project, is Handel Lee, an American lawyer
working in China whose dream to create China's first culturally driven lifestyle
concept is finally being brought to life. Lee is no stranger to the concept of
successfully blending art and cuisine together. His innovative restaurant-cumart
gallery project, The Courtyard, on the Moat of Beijing's Forbidden City, has
achieved huge acclaim and is popular with the city's movers and shakers, as
well as international visitors. Born the son of Chinese immigrants in Washington,
D.C., Lee learned to cultivate his love of art from his mother, a descendant
from courtiers of the Qing emperors who ruled China from 1644 to 1911. Fluent
in written and spoken Mandarin, Lee attended the universities of Virginia
University (BA with distinction, 1983) and Georgetown University Law Center, JD
cum laude, 1988 before being admitted to the New York Bar. These days, he is
a partner at Beijing law firm Vinson & Elkins, where he provides clients from the
U.S., Europe and the PRC with advice on direct investment, acquisition and
financing transactions in the greater China region in such industries as energy,
technology, telecommunications, media, aircraft, automotive, distribution and
manufacturing. In 1999 and 2000, he was selected as a leading energy lawyer
in China for the areas of project finance, power, and oil & gas in Euromoney's
Expert's Guide to the World's Leading Energy and Natural Resources Lawyers.
