Mario Boselli is the Chairman of the Italian National Chamber of Fashion. He started his activity in 1959 inside the ancient silk tradition company of his father, the Carlo Boselli of Garbagnate Monastero, today Marioboselli Yarns & Jersey managed by their sons Dott. Carlo and Ing. Federico. During the age ’70, ’80 and ’90 and at the beginning of the new millennium, he realize an important development, both in Italy and abroad, in Slovak Republic, completing a range of activities into the textile sector, from knitted fabrics up to the finished garments.
Mario Boselli is also Chairman of Centrobanca, of the Cariplo Staff Pension Fund, of Setefi (Intesa San Paolo Group) and C.F.S., of the Italian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce (Bratislava), of the Italy-Hong Kong Association, of Lariodesk, Member of the Management Committee of UBI Bank and of other companies quoted and not. In the past Mario Boselli was President of Federtessile, of Independent International Trade Fair of Milano, of Pitti Immagine , of the International Silk Association (Lyon). Among the several honours, he was appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro (1990), Commandeur de l’Ordre National de la Legion d’Honneur (France 2002) and Cavaliere di Gran Croce Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana (2007). Mario Boselli was born in Como in 1941. He his married and has 3 children.
