Stefano BERALDO

Stefano Beraldo was born in Mestre, Venice on March 23, 1957. He is married and has two daughters of 15 and 11. He took his secondary school diploma at the “Liceo Classico ‘Raimondo Franchetti’” of Mestre, Venice and graduated in economics at the University of Venice with flying colours. His career started at Arthur Andresen, working in the Auditing and Management Consltancy field. In 1988 he joined the Benetton Group Holding company and held a variety of management positions in different areas finance and acquisitions. In 1995 he successfully directed the acquisition of SME from the Italian Ministry of Industry and then became General Manager of GS Euromercato Spa wich in 5 years improved sales and profitability. He handed over the Company to Carrefour, working with the French Company for 2 years. In June 2000 he was appointed Managing Director and General Manager of the De’ Longhi Group. In five years he managed to recover and strengthen the Group’s profitability, having it listed in the Stock Exchange, rebalancing its financial structure, acquiring and developing Kenwood plc (this company is listed in the London Stock Exchange), renewing the product portfolio, carrying out its international expansion. He also managed to transform the production structure, by having a large portion of it transferred in the Far East and the Italian production activities restructured. He has been CEO Coin Group since July 2005. In three years turnover has increased 20%, for the opening of new stores and the reorganization of the existing formats 180 million Euro have been invested, 280 million in cash flow have been generated and Ebitda has gone from 80 million in 2005 to 134 million in 2008. In the same period more than 140 stores have been opened in Italy and the foreign expansion, which has now 70 stores above all with OVS brand, has been started.
