Fabio FOSCHI

CEO, Piacenza Cashmere 1733

Fabio Foschi was born on March 13th, 1954 in Milan. After having attended the “Istituto Leone XIII”, secondary school, he graduated as a Doctor in Chemical Engineering at Politecnico University (Milan), in the year 1980. In the same year he started his professional career at GRACE, an American Company active in the Chemical field, where he operated with growing responsibilities until he was nominated Sales and Marketing Director EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) at the European Headquarter of the Davison Division, based in Germany. After this significant international experience, in 1998 he returned to Italy, where he managed the automotive aftermarket business of FIAMM ( Starter batteries). Later on he started getting closer to the Fashion Business thanks to experiences in the fields of Fibers (Montefibre, Director of Polyester Business Unit) and Textiles (Miroglio, General Manager Yarn Division) until he assumed the current assignment as CEO of Fratelli Piacenza SpA. Piacenza is a company established in 1733 with over 275 years of history in the production of fabrics based on noble fibers. The textile production was integrated during the seventies by a finished product Division, which stemmed out from the multi-centennial love for cashmere: at the very beginning this was only knitwear whereas, nowadays, it includes also selected upper-end accessories and informal garments, realized with Piacenza own fabrics. During the years, Fabio also covered several official assignments, on behalf of the companies he represented, both in Italy (Assofibre, SMI-ATI) and at European level (CEFIC and CIRFS).
