Head of Special Reports in Europe, WSJE

James Rutter heads up the special reports division at Dow Jones Consumer Media Group, Europe, with responsibility for special reports in The Wall Street Journal Europe and UK-based publication Financial News. Prior to that he was director of business development at Financial News, overseeing the expansion of its wealth management offering. He was previously managing editor of business publishing for three years and joined Financial News as deputy editor in 2003.

Prior to this, James was editor of Global Investor magazine and New York-based editor of an online financial news service.

He has a masters degree in philosophy from Cambridge University.
