Vice Chairman China Investment Banking, Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Catherine Cai is currently a vice chairman of China Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and has been with the firm for more than 10 years. She has also worked at ABN Amro as managing director and head of China investment banking. Before that, she was with JP Morgan where she was a managing director and head of China equity capital markets. Ms Cai started her banking career with Smith Barney in New York in 1993.
Ms Cai has more than 17 years experience in the investment banking industry. She has participated in numerous equity and equity-linked offerings, M&A transactions and fixed income capital raisings for both China's State-owned and private sector enterprises across all industry sectors.
Ms Cai holds a law degree from Peking University and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
