EMEA CEO Brooks Brothers

Luca Gastaldi, EMEA CEO of Brooks Brothers, was born in 1967 in Biella, one of the world’s leading textile production areas in Northern Italy, home to menswear leading fashion groups and to his lifelong passion: excellence in quality fabrics and luxury goods.

Graduated in Economics at Bocconi University in 1991, he met Sergio Loro Piana, who would then become his mentor, whilst interviewing him for his thesis on the brand’s Marketing strategy. For the following almost 20 years he was loyal to the brand, growing professionally along with the company that during these years switched from being recognized as an excellence in textile products to becoming also a leader in luxury goods.  

He was only 26 years old when he flew to Japan becoming Head of Loro Piana in this market and his desire to learn each area of the company and his extreme sensibility towards textile and yarns and the importance of touching and observing fibers, made him cover diverse roles including Vice Director of Wholesale Fabric Division, Global Merchandising Officer up to Head of Europe Retail.

In September 2011 Luca was appointed EMEA CEO for Brooks Brothers with the mission to expand the brand’s wholesale and retail presence in Europe and the Middle East making Brooks Brothers profitable in this region. Under his direction Brooks Brothers opened nearly 90 new points of sale in over 20 markets and increased its revenues by 90% . His sensibility towards product made it possible to introduce to the European market new appropriate fits and products that the American brand had not yet looked into.

Today Brooks Brothers counts over 600 points of sale in nearly 50 countries, Luca Gastaldi is in charge of 100 of them.
Brooks Brothers is the first menswear brand that will be celebrating two hundred years of style and innovation in 2018, with official global celebrations commencing in Italy, Florence during Pitti Immagine Uomo.
