Vittorio MISSONI

Marketing Director, Missoni

Since 1985, Vittorio Missoni, along with his sister Angela and brother Luca, has been concentrating on the advertising sector in an effort to improve and renovate Missoni's image. He has also developed licensing contracts and followed the creation and sales of the principal Missoni collections. Educated in Switzerland, he spent three years in London where he worked with one of the most important stores in the British capital and learned the fundamentals of commercial and sales techniques. Afterward, in New York, he worked for two years in the marketing section of a prestigious chain of department stores where he was in charge of sales. When he returned to Italy, he made a definitive commitment to his parents' operations and was named executive marketing manager. In that position, he traveled extensively promoting the Missoni brand throughout the world and particularly in the Far East where he focused on Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea. During that time, he created single-brand Missoni boutiques in Tokyo and Hong Kong. He was soon named general marketing manager of Missoni, SpA, and president of Missoni, Inc., in the United States and Missoni SA in France.
