Andrea Guerra is the Chief Executive Officer of Luxottica Group, the world’s largest eyewear company leader in design, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of prescription frames and sunglasses. Mr. Guerra joined Luxottica in 2004.
Before joining Luxottica, Mr. Guerra was with Merloni Elettrodomestici, where he also held the position of Chief Executive Officer, leading the company to its successful transformation into Europe’s number three appliances manufacturer; he was also then the youngest CEO of any listed Italian Company. Mr. Guerra spent 10 years with Merloni, five of which as CEO.
Prior still, Mr. Guerra worked for Marriott Italia, the Italian subsidiary of the Marriott Corporation. Over the five years he spent with the company, Mr. Guerra held different positions in marketing and operations helping to set up the Italian organization of the Marriott facility management division.
Andrea Guerra is 40 years’ old, holds a degree in Economics with Honors from "La Sapienza" University in Rome, is married with three children.
