I was born in Raffadali (AG, Italy) on August the 24th 1947.

Over the last thirty years, I have been working as a cultural and artistic consultant for Italian and
international institutes, contract lecturer in universities and project manager in the world of
television, arts and great communications events.

ARTISTIC PROFILE

• From 2014
Artistic director of the AQUAE Pavilion in the city of Venice.
• From 2014
Author of the charity project “Refettorio Ambrosiano”, managed in collaboration with Caritas
Ambrosiana and the Diocesi Arcivescovile of the city of Milan.
• From 2013
Curator of the artistic contents of Expo Milano 2015.
• 2013
Curator of the “La Rinascita. Storie dell’Italia che ce l’ha fatta” exhibition, held at the Palazzo
Mazzetti and Palazzo Alfieri in the city of Asti, Italy.

Curator and special correspondent of the section “Paesi e Paesaggi” in the popular Italian tv show
Striscia la Notizia. On the air since October 2013.

Artistic director of the Pavilion Zero, Expo Milano 2015.

Artistic director of the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions of the festival The Carnival of Venice.
I’ve been confirmed as artistic director also for the 2015 edition.

Curator of the “Tradizione e Innovazione” [Tradition and Innovation] Exhibition in the Italian
Pavilion at the Shanghai 2010 Expo, which has become the permanent venue for the promotion of
the image of Italy in China.

exhibition held in the Italian Pavilion at the Shanghai 2010 Expo.
