Andrea SCARANO

Country Manager, Veepee Italia

Andrea Scarano is Country Manager of Veepee Italy, pioneer and leading brand for online flash- sales.

Andrea Scarano has a strong international experience and over 10 years’ career in Privalia, acquired by Veepee in 2016, where he contributed to the Group’s positioning among the market leaders: first as Operations and Marketing Director of  Privalia Brazil, then as General Manager of Privalia Mexico.

Subsequently, as Southern EU and Latam Chief Product Officer in Spain, he contributed to the establishment of the global Veepee brand.

 

During his stay in Mexico, he was also Professor of Mobile, Marketing and CRM at ISDI Mexico City, putting his strong expertise in e-commerce at the service of a worldwide leader in digital education.

Born in 1981,  Andrea Scarano graduated in Management Engineering at Federico II University of Naples and holds an Executive MBA from the IESE Business School in Navarra.

Veepee

In 2001 Veepee (new name of vente-privee from January 2019) revolutionized consumption by creating the concept of online flash-sales: designer products available in limited quantities, for a limited period of time (from 3 to 5 days), offered with a large discount and a creative and engaging presentation. In 2019, stemming from their European development strategy dating back to 2006, vente-privee changed its name and became Veepee, a global brand present in 12 European countries. As a non-specialized website dedicated to online stock sales for designer labels, Veepee has become a multi-specialist expert website in all sectors that it works in: Fashion, Home and Decor, Accessories, Sport, Kidswear, Travel, Beauty, Food and Wine. Its close collaboration with 7.000 brands allows it to propose exclusive discounts, from 50% to 70% off face value. With 6.000 collaborators and 72 million members worldwide, in 2018 Veepee brought in a net sales total from its consumers of 3.7 billion euros.
