CEO, Galileo Global Education Italia

 

After joining Istituto Marangoni at the beginning of 2009 as Group Managing Director, Roberto Riccio is today CEO of Galileo Global Education Italia, Italian branch of Galileo Global Education Holding, specialised in private higher education. Galileo Global Education Holding has a network of 32 schools and is present in over 80 campuses in 10 countries around the world with over 100,000 enrolled students. GGE’s mission is to be the world education leader in innovation, creativity, arts and culture and to build a network of excellence in Europe, Latin America and Asia, ensuring access to innovative programs and the hiring potential of students.
GGE owns Istituto Marangoni since 2011 and, in 2018, it acquired Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) and Domus Academy therefore establishing the newco Galileo Global Education Italia.
Under Roberto Riccio’s leadership, Istituto Marangoni has gained an important share of the fashion education market thanks also  to the opening up to new educational fields such as Design and Art, tripling income in just a few years, and increasing the number of schools and training centres from 3 to 10 worldwide.
Roberto Riccio has also been able to promote the School’s brand equity, thanks to validation of its educational offer from recognised institutions in Italy, UK, USA and France, and the promotion of a constantly increasing Alumni community.
Today, Roberto Riccio is also CEO of Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) and Domus Academy, responsible for the strategic development of the two brands and their academic offer within the GGE Italia group.
Before joining Istituto Marangoni, Mr Riccio was the General Manager of Opodo Italy and of Interhome (Hotelplan Group), positions where he was able to gain remarkable experience in Marketing and Communication, and worked with renowned international Advertising Agencies such as Saatchi&Saatchi, DDB Needham, and Pirella Gottsche Lowe.
Roberto Riccio was born in 1963 and has a degree in Oriental languages, a Master’s degree in Marketing and Communication, and he is fluent in six languages.
