Mauro BINI
Full Professor of Corporate Finance, Bocconi University
Mauro Bini is Full Professor of Corporate Finance at Bocconi University. His principal teaching specialty is graduate-level Financial Policy (M&A) and Valuation.
He prevously served for six years on the faculty of Ca' Foscari University
(Venice). He taught in San Diego (CA) and in La Plata (Argentina), as visiting
professor. He is co-editor of Valutazione delle Aziende (valuation of firms), the
first italian journal on contemporary topics in business valuation. He is editor for
the Section Corporate finance of Finanza Marketing e Produzione (Finance,
Marketing and Production) an academic journal of Bocconi University. He is
co-editor of Impairment Series of Bocconi University Press, series focused on
implementation of IAS/IRFS 36 and 38 (Intangible assets and impairment of
assets). Professor Bini's research has been published in books and academic
journals. The last book (written with Luigi Guatri) is about intangible
assets valuation. His insights are in equal demand in the italian business
press: MF, Milano Finanza, Il Sole 24 ore. He also serves as a consultant for
numerous organization and is frequently heard as speaker on Valuation
topics. Mauro Bini was born on October 20th , 1957, is married and has two sons.
