Andrea MORANTE

Andrea Morante is the Chief Executive Officer and minority shareholder of Pomellato SpA since 2009.
Before assuming this role, Andrea Morante worked for several years in the City of London, initially as the founder of corporate banking activities in Italy for Morgan Stanley (7 years) and, afterwards as a Managing Director of corporate banking at Credit Suisse First Boston for all of Southern Europe (15 years). Both at Morgan Stanley and at Credit Suisse, Andrea Morante was involved in and managed first hand some of the most important company restructuring in Italy such as, for example, the privatisation of ENI, the financial diversifications of the Benetton family, the defence of Telecom Italia from the Olivetti takeover bid and the merger between Sanpaolo di Torino and IMI banks.
In between these two assignments and after having masterminded and executed the Gucci acquisition on behalf of Investcorp in 1990, Andrea Morante was involved in the global restructuring of Gucci as a Board Member representing Investcorp and, subsequently, as COO of the company.
Andrea Morante graduated in Business and Economics from the University of Rome where he was a student of Prof. Federico Caffè and in 1974 he completed an MBA at the University of Kansas as a Fulbright scholar.
